WOW! Your photos look like a magical, ice-covered wonderland. GREAT JOB! Sincerely, Susan from writingstraightfromtheheart.blogspot.com
You had sunshine today! Great photos, as always... What's that little white ball in the lake?
These look like they belong in a beautiful travel magazine. Perfect!
Glad you are all enjoying this post. It was actually taken a few weeks ago after an over night snow storm. I still have a couple more posts to come from that morning. The bay is actually tidal because it's connected to the ocean, so even though the water looks very still, it's not. The ball you see is a mooring for a boat, though I can't ever recall seeing one attached to it.Sharon
One word: breathtaking!!!!
I may be in Cancun, but these photos are lovely and it really does make me want to put on some skates and glide over the water until I'm ready for some hot chocolate. Sea Witch
Just breathtaking! So frosty--I love it! Makes me think of a scene from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

Can I just say how absolutely beautiful this is, and I'm so glad to experience it through your pictures rather than in person because I would be freezing my butt off! It almost doesn't look real - the trees are so pretty!
These are just gorgeous pictures Sharon. I absolutely love New England, and I'd choose to live there if I could. We live in SW NY state not far from Lake Erie and the Penna line, and are smack dab in the snow belt. Last year we had over 130" of snow. Pretty normal for us.About the Siskins. I saw only one! I can't believe it. Last year I had 100's of them. Maybe this is a scout:-)Thanks so much for stopping by.B.
