Autumn's burning love

Burning bush shrubs make a wonderful backdrop for photos in November.

I took all these shots last week but now it seems the brilliant leaves litter the ground instead of populating the branches. Such a shame watching the bright colors fade away, knowing what we have in store for the coming months.

Winston ... a surprise shot for sure!

I love it when Lily's ears flop backwards. Love that.

Although I know I'm supposed to get down on a dogs level to take there picture, every time I did this is what I got . . .

I'm not sure if it was nap time or what but she wouldn't open her eyes for me.

So are you ready? Ready for Thanksgiving and December? Because both will be here before you know it. My daughter is so anxious to go skiing. She talks about it all the time. Me, I'm just anxious for Spring. To see all the bulbs I planted last week burst forth from the unfrozen ground. To see the buds on the trees. To feel the warmth of the sun on a brilliant afternoon.

Okay, back to reality

One day at a time

Oh Sharon they are so full of sweetness. Love your photos.
My Son has a Pug . I baby sat the little guy last night and we sure had some fun. Even the Cats liked him.
Your leaves are stunning.
Hope your feeling much better. Thinking about you.

Love that Winston's tongue is out... Rowdy's is like that a lot too... must be a flat nosed dog thing, but aren't they just the cutest when they do that!

Your photos really do depict the 'sweetest of days' Sharon. So glad you posted today!

Winston and Lily are both so photogenic. And yes, Lily looks sleepy ~
Gorgeous burning bush shots. Would love to have those growing here; they're one of my favorites.
Nope, not ready at all and not going to worry about it. Unlike you, however, I do like the cold months. I don't know why. I just do. xo

I love burning bushes in the fall....their color is so brilliant! Mine have all shed their leaves, just the berries left. Those photos are beautiful....Lily and Winston are adorable! I'm with you Sharon, I will be counting down the days 'til Spring! Hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving....then the countdown is on for Christmas!

I think I may just have to buy a burning bush! It does make a fantastic background for your adorable pups:)

I am having twelve or so here for dinner on Thanksgiving and if you can believe it I have not started preparing one thing! I always procrastinate and do best under pressure:)

Like Kate, I really love the cold and snow but maybe because it makes spring and summer all the more delightful...

I love this blog!!! Great humorous faces on your pets...they're so photogenic, unlike my kitties..lol! Always the same expressions..."You bore me, Mom." hehe. I see those burning bushes everywhere, never knew what they were called! I came home this week from L.A. to frost on my car...noooo! ah. Perhaps the food this holiday will ease me into winter...(and out of my skinny jeans...) xo ~ Mary

We have several of these bushes and they are amazing in autumn. But I don't have the charming models you do! :)
