Your rose is beautiful Sharon! I love the faded ones ... they're gorgeous! Don't give up on your rose yet ... it may just need a bit of time to adjust to its new home. Give it lots of protection for the winter. I cover the base of mine with a pile of new earth (it must be new not just pulled from elsewhere in the garden) about 8-10" deep. I cut my climber back a bit in the fall so it won't be damaged by winter winds. Good luck! Roses are much hardier than people give them credit for. :)

We have sold Eden rose before and it really is gorgeous. I hadn't heard that it wasn't that hardy. Maybe burlap in the winter.

You should try some carpet roses....their super easy and bloom their heads off.....but they're not climbers.....for that get a new dawn rose.

Roses are beautiful and even when past their prime your photos beg to be painted! And I was curious about the cushions! I have killed many a rose bush but have found a Knockout Rose bushes to be incredibly easy. Plop them in a sunny spot and stand back and let them bloom. You can find singles or doubles and now multiple colors as they expand this popular line. I have 12 white ones on one side of my house. Every spring I check for any broken branch damage and remove. That's it. They bloom in 3-4 weeks and stay through November. They would be good for your zone too. Sometimes they go through a stage after the first bloom as the first blooms die, but then they burst forth with new blooms. David Austin roses are drop dead gorgeous but need tending. Good luck.

I love the roses, I have killed a few rose bushes myself:) I have found the easiest rose is my area is "New Dawn" climber.
Thanks for the info about Photoshop, some day I will have the time to open up and learn, maybe I will email you in a couple of years:), hopefully sooner, thanks again.

Your roses are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them with us. I know nothing about growing/taking care of them. I tried several times, years ago - with no success. :(
