How did I end up here.... crying at the middle pics of the loving dog owner?
I was looking up some UK research on anticholinergics.
I certainly don't need to be crying tonight ... but THANKS for posting the pics & comments. Mr. Spock is my hero ... and your blog just broke thru that tonight -DARN! (...that would be a DARN! followed by a heartfelt THANK You)

What a beautiful post!! It has been a year since we lost our sweet Savanna and the story of the man with his dog and possibly the fact that this beloved pet may not be with his owner much longer, brought tears to my eyes!!

When I saw the link to this post in your current post, I had to take a look. Very touching. Our pug Olive absolutely loves the beach and would run around all day there if we let her. When she gets older, I will remember this and take her down frequently so she can have her last bits of fun, I hope.

I don't think I've ever seen such a gentle and poignant act of compassion for a beloved pet. My heart is hurting- and I greatly admire this dog's owner- he is a wonderful soul. Bless them both--

I just saw the same sign "Today I will be happier than a bird with a french fry" on a recent beach trip. I loved it so I am instantly hooked !

Wow Sharon, you really know how to tug at the heartstrings! This was really a poignant post.

Your post was a tender portrayal of the circle of life with the older dog and loving owner and the young dogs running and jumping in the waves.

That scene with the older dog hit home as we had to let go of Miss Marble last week.
